Next week Nancy and I fly to Berlin, the start of a trip through some of the great cities of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire: Prague, Budapest, VIenna, and a few places in between. You can see the sights on this blog, but I can promise lots of images of churches and castles. The above photograph comes from an earlier trip: the fortress of the village of Marvão, Portugal, on the eastern border, keeping watch on the Spanish who might try to sneak across.

The Great journey begins…
We will be watching.
Have fun. Send only photos of characters you meet — no churches and castles — well, okay, if you have to.
